How To Make A Super Soft MILK BREAD Loaf
You don’t have to be a professional baker to make this soft and fluffy bread. Today, I will show you how to make it easy and you’ll be glad you’re making your own bread and not gonna buy anymore.
Here’s what you’ll need:
1 cup warm milk (236 ml)
1 tbsp sugar (10g)
2 tsp active dry yeast
3 cup all purpose flour (375g) + 1/3-1/2 cup for kneading
¼ cup sugar (50g)
1 tsp salt (5g)
1 large egg
1/3 cup melted butter (75g)
2 tbsp oil for your hand while kneading
Eggwash
1 egg and 1 tbsp milk
Instructions:
1. Mix together milk, a tbsp of sugar and yeast. Let it bloom for 10 minutes or until foamy.
2. In a bowl, mix together flour, sugar and salt. Add egg and melted butter. Then add, yeast mixture. Mix until incorporated. Transfer to a floured counter. Knead for 10 minutes or until smooth and elastic. Form into a ball. Place in an oiled bowl. Cover and let it rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
3. Punch out gas. Half the dough into equal portions. Form the first half of the dough into a loaf and the second half-divide into 3 equal portions and roll as shown in the video.
4. Place the formed/rolled dough in a greased loaf pan and lined with parchment paper. Cover to rise. Preheat oven at 180C/350F for 15 minutes.
5. Brush risen dough with egg wash. Baker for 18-20 minutes or until light golden.
6. Serve and enjoy this super soft and fluffy milk bread.
