Soft And Fluffy CONDENSED MILK BREAD
How to make a soft and fluffy, warm and buttery Condensed Milk Bread.
Here’s what you’ll need:
1 cup milk (250ml) room temp (you can use fresh, UHT or evap milk)
¼ cup sweetened condensed milk (75g)
1 egg
2 tbsp sugar (30g)
2 and ¼ tsp instant yeast (7g) (TYPO ERROR IN THE VIDEO–its in TEASPOON not CUP)
3 and ¼ cups All purpose flour (400g) plus more for kneading
1 tsp salt (5g)
¼ cup softened butter (50g)
Glaze:
3 tbsp softened butter (45g)
3 tbsp sweetened condensed milk(45g)
HERE’S HOW TO:
1In a bowl, combine together milk, sweetened condensed milk, egg, sugar and yeast. Mix well.
2Add flour and salt. Mix until you form a dough.
3Add softened butter. Mix until butter is fully absorbed.
4Transfer to a lightly floured counter. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
5Dough is ready for proofing when its not tearing when stretched.
6Smooth dough into a ball and place in an oiled bowl.
7Cover and rest for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
8Punch the air out. Transfer dough to lightly floured counter.
9Divide the dough into two equal parts.
10Roll out each dough and flatten using a rolling pin forming a long rectangular shape.
11Roll tightly into a log, pinching the edges to seal. Cutting into seven parts.
12Place in a 7×4 inches loaf pan, greased and lined with parchment paper.
13Cover for 45 minutes in a warm place and draft free place.
14Preheat oven (about 15 minutes) at 180ºC/350ºF.
15When dough is fully proofed, brush with egg wash, beat 1 egg and 2 tbsp milk.
16Bake for 20 to 22 minutes or until lightly golden in preheated oven.
17Let it cool down while preparing the glaze.
18GLAZE: Mix together softened butter and sweetened condensed milk
19Brush onto the bread.
20Serve and enjoy!
