MILLION DOLLAR CAKE

How to make a Million Dollar Pound cake.

Here’s what you’ll need:
1 tsp of white vinegar to
1 cup milk (250ml)
1 cup unsalted butter (227g)
2 cups sugar (400g)
2 tbsp neutral oil (30ml)
4 large eggs
3 cups all purpose flour or cake flour (375g)
2 tsp baking powder (8g)
1 tsp salt (5g)
1 tsp lemon extract
1 tsp almond extract
1 tsp vanilla extract
GLAZE:
1 cup icing sugar
1 and 1/2 tbsp milk
1/2 tsp almond extract
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

1. Grease a 10-cup bundt pan with butter and flour. Preheat oven at 320F/160C.

2. In large bowl, beat 1 cup unsalted butter (227g) and 2 cups sugar until creamy. Add neutral oil and mix until creamy.

3. Mix in eggs one at a time. Mixing after every addition.

4. Sift in gradually, all purpose flour, baking powder and salt.

5. Mix until combined. Add the milk and vinegar mixture.

6. Add the extracts then mix until smooth and well incorporated.

7. Scrape sides and bottom.

8. Place the batter into the prepared pan.

9. Bake on the middle rack for 55-60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean when inserted.

10. Remove from oven and place on a cooling rack until the pan is cool enough to touch.

11. Prepare the glaze: Mix all ingredients then drizzle on top of cooled cake.

12. Serve and enjoy!
