Ham and Cheese Wool Roll soft and fluffy
How to make soft and fluffy Ham and cheese wool roll.
Here’s what you’ll need:
1 cup warm water (250ml)
2 tsp instant yeast (6g)
1 egg
2 tbsp sugar (30g)
3 tbsp milk powder (24g)
3 and ½ cup all purpose flour (440g)
or bread flour
1 tsp salt (5g)
1/4 cup unsalted butter (55g)
14 pieces sliced ham
about 150 gram grated mozzarella cheese or any cheese you prefer.
Directions:
-In a bowl, mix water, yeast, sugar, egg and milk powder.
-Add flour and salt. Mix until you formed a dough.
-Then add butter and mix until fully absorbed.
-Transfer to a floured counter then knead, slap and fold until smooth and elastic.
-Cover dough. Let it proof for 40-60 minutes or until doubled in size.
-After proofing, release the air and cut into 14 equal pieces or 60 grams each.
-Round and smooth into a ball. Cover for 10 minutes.
-Roll out each dough ball. Cut few strips in the rolled out dough. Please refer to the video.
-Place ham and cheese. Roll into a log tightly.
-Pinch the ends and edges to seal.
-Place in a lined baking tray and cover for 30 minutes to rise.
-Brush with eggwash. Bake in a preheated oven at 180c/350f for 20-25 minutes.
-Serve and enjoy!
