Homemade Strawberry HORCHATA

Homemade Strawberry HORCHATA

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cup long grain white rice such as mahatma
1 large cinnamon stick
4 cups boiling water
1 1/2 lb fresh strawberries
3/4-1 cup sugar or agave nectar
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 can evaporated milk
2 cups milk
4 cups water(optional or you can use 6 cups milk only)
1 tsp Mexican vanilla blend
1 tsp strawberry concentrate
Lots of ice when serving

Directions:

Mix rice flour, cinnamon stick and almond milk in a blender or food processor until cinnamon is completely pulverized. Pour into a small pot and warm over medium-high heat until it starts to boil. Add vanilla extract, turn the heat off and set aside.
In a food processor or blender, combine strawberries (remember to leave a few extra for garnishing), condensed milk and one cup of water. Mix until well integrated and as smooth as possible.
PRO TIP!!!!
✅blend until rice is pulverized
✅add more water to dilute if you want it less concentrated
✅use a cheesecloth to prevent powdery/grainy texture
1 serving of love 💕
